Vienna: Shopping City Süd becomes Westfield Shopping City Süd

Shopping City Süd becomes part of the Westfield Shopping and Entertainment Destinations and presents itself with a new logo online as well as on site very soon.

The name change to Westfield is considered a seal of quality for premium shopping centers of the Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Group. This September, the international developer and operator of shopping centers Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) is selecting six locations in four European markets to become Westfield destinations. Shopping City Süd has been part of the group for a long time.

In recent years, Westfield Shopping City Süd – Austria’s largest shopping center – has clearly positioned itself as a flagship shopping destination in Austria through numerous measures. These measures include the extensive reconstruction of Shopping City Süd, as well as the expansion and opening of the Multiplex Terraces in 2017.

Just in time for the name change, numerous new openings of international brands such as the French furnishing brand Maisons du Monde, the trendy eyewear manufacturer Mister Spex, the prominent British brand Dyson, the Swiss premium chocolate manufacturer Läderach, and many more have already been announced.
