News in Sweden, Spain and Poland – VIA Outlets Develops Portfolio

VIA Outlets is continuing the transformation of its portfolio across Europe. An expansion and remodeling program of €29 million, focusing on three outlets in Sweden, Spain, and Poland, began last autumn to help increase the overall guest experience and better position the outlets as premium shopping destinations across Europe.

VIA Outlets has recently started works on the expansion of its Hede Fashion Outlet, located in Gothenburg, West Sweden. The program will add 2,700 sq m to the center, bringing the total to 19,000 sq m, and will increase the number of stores by 15, bringing the total number to 75. The announcement came just months before the opening of a new train station next to the outlet, which will allow visitors to travel from Gothenburg’s city center to the outlet in just 20 minutes. The total investment for this center amounts to €11 million, and the expansion is set to open in October 2019.

The works at Sevilla Fashion Outlet in southern Spain commenced in October and include a complete relaunch of the food and beverage offer, the implementation of four further F&B kiosks, and additional parking spaces. Further work will be conducted in 2019 to enhance the exterior and interior aesthetics of the center and to help cement Sevilla Fashion Outlet’s role as the dominant outlet center in Sevilla as well as the entire Andalusian region. The total investment for this center amounts to €13 million.

The Wroclaw Fashion Outlet refurbishments are scheduled to begin in 2019 and will include remodeling of the facade and of the interior of the center to help increase the guest experience, with the total investment amounting to €5 million.
