New SES Shopping Center ALEJA Due to Open on 19 March 2020

Developer and operator SES Spar European Shopping Centers has announced that the customer opening of Slovenia’s most modern shopping center, located in the northern district of Šiška in Ljubljana, Slovenia, is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 19 March 2020.

Construction work is progressing well and is nearing completion. ALEJA, a multifunctional meeting place with a focus on shopping, gastronomy, and leisure, is set to open on 32,000 square meters of leasable area. The total investment in the project amounts to approximately 150 million euros.

Construction work on the new shopping destination is progressing very well and is right on schedule. ALEJA will offer 80 shops as well as gastronomy and service businesses on 32,000 sq m of gross leasable area.

“We are looking forward to opening the newest SES shopping center in Ljubljana and thus our fifth center in Slovenia. ALEJA’s concept is in line with the times and is geared toward the needs of the location. The center will become the new meeting point of the city,” says Marcus Wild, CEO of SES Spar European Shopping Centers.

Important Economic Factor in Slovenia
The investment in the project amounts to approximately 150 million euros. ALEJA is one of the largest project developments and investments in Slovenian retail in recent years.
