MULTI LEASES 883 SQ M TO WROCŁAW CITY HALL

The Polish division of Multi Corporation has signed a lease agreement for the Resident Service Center (RSC) of the Wrocław City Hall in the Magnolia Park shopping center the company manages. Leasing for social services is one of the directions of changes introduced in commercial assets managed by Multi.

The company manages over 80 properties in 13 European countries and in Turkey – with a total GLA of 3 million sq m. and the more than €5 billion value of assets under management. In Poland, it manages 6 shopping centers and two office buildings with a total area of 346,000 sq m. of GLA.

From the very first days of its opening on June 10, the Resident Service Center in Magnolia Park in Wrocław has been very popular. Estimates of the Wrocław City Hall show that approx. 120 thousand people will be served in this location during the year. At 883 sqm. there are 31 service stations. The RSC will be open at times convenient for residents, also on Saturdays. During the year, approx. 25 thousand copies of ID Cards and 30 thousand registration certificates will be issued here. At this RSC vehicles can also be registered, and drivers’ licenses obtained.

Multi is an expert in the creative redefining and redesigning of shopping centers to offer different, relevant functions. An example is Forum Rotterdam: an innovative regeneration of retail space into a downtown multi-functional destination with housing of the highest standard, sports, recreation, shops, bars and restaurants. In the Alfa shopping center in Riga, Multi has expanded the mall with a new three-storey retail building and multi-storey car park and has created a new park for residents. In Poland, Forum Gdańsk is an excellent example of a modern multifunctional urban project. Multi has created a new space here combining commercial, entertainment and social functions. It is a modern quarter of the city, which in addition to the rich offer of international chain stores, gastronomy and entertainment, also has a new public transport junction, and also fulfils social functions through, among others, The Historic Heritage Center of the City of Gdańsk, the City Culture Institute, and a public square.

“The driving force behind Multi’s method for increasing the value of assets, except long-term capital investments in redevelopment and expansion, are innovative solutions, including community related ones”, explains Frederic Rouleau, Country Asset Manager Multi Poland. “We believe that everything is linked. Investments focus on creating highly attractive spaces for local and supra-regional communities, including the addition of non-retail functions. This repositions the property and creates a so-called halo effect that builds attractiveness for customers. As a result, the value of assets well managed in this way increases. This is how value can be optimized.”
