McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Málaga: Back to the “new” normality

Although the closure of the international borders and the limitation of regional movement within Italy are having an impact on the footfall in the centre compared to the same period last year, in this first week of re-opening visitors were not lacking and some categories of goods have seen an even greater interest than usual, for example: children's fashion, bedlinen, kitchenware and sportswear.

Now that it is possible to meet again and spend time together, McArthurGlen is looking towards a “new” normality where one can shop with family and friends with the assurance that all the essential health measures to guarantee a safe environment are respected. With these guarantees, and in accordance with the sanitation measures implemented by the McArthurGlen Group, Designer Outlet in Malaga re-opened to the public on Monday 1 June.

The great advantage of the McArthurGlen centres is the unique quality of the shopping experience that is offered. The concept: pedestrian and open-air villages in which 100 of the main Spanish and international brands are concentrated in one place, offering their collections from previous seasons with a discount of 30% to 70% guaranteed year-round. McArthurGlen brings together brands such aEscada, Karl Lagerfeld, Adolfo Domínguez, Sandro, Scalpers, Adidas, Maje, Puma, American Vintage, Hugo Boss, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour Levi’s y New Balance.

Joan Jove, Managing Director for Southern Europe, said: “Return to a ‘new’ normality – As a partner of each region in which we operate and an important player in terms of employment at local level, we are pleased to welcome our visitors back, who can once again stroll through our centres in a safe atmosphere, rediscovering our Italian and international brands and taking advantage of our offers by experiencing a moment of sharing with family or friends, in strict compliance with the health rules.”

Thanks to the security measures implemented and the staff of all the stores, visitors are welcomed in compliance with health and safety guidelines from 12:00 to 21:00 from now on from Monday to Saturday in McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Málaga.

The safety and well-being of customers, brand partners and employees is McArthurGlen’s top priority. This is why, in addition to scrupulously following the recommendations of the health authorities, measures have been arranged with the help of enhanced maintenance and safety teams.

The re-opening of the centre took place gradually to allow each store to meet the recommended conditions to welcome the public, for example: the supply of hand sanitiser gel, Perspex screens in front of cash registers to protect staff and customers, posters and leaflets around the centre to remind customers of social distancing rules, adhesives on the floor to better manage queues, etc.

Life is resuming its course and this first week has been positive for MacArthurGlen Designer Outlet Málaga. The good weather should encourage safe and outdoor shopping. Centre will be open from Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 21:00 with all the necessary safety measures to guarantee an unforgettable and safe experience for our customers.
