Major retailers expanding presence at Brent Cross

Hammerson and Standard Life Investments, the co-owners of Brent Cross Shopping Centre, announce that a number of retailers at Brent Cross have chosen to significantly expand their presence with upsized stores at the centre.

Following recent upsizings by O2 and Pandora, a further three retailers have taken additional space, continuing the growing trend for major retailers looking to showcase their full brand offering and create compelling customer experiences in prime retail destinations.

At Brent Cross, the demand for larger stores follows an active asset management strategy which has seen international brands such as Urban Decay and Smiggle open new stores in the centre in the last year.

Global fashion retailer Zara will increase its presence on the Lower Mall, expanding into the adjacent unit to take its floorspace from 1,250 to over 2,000 sq m.

Sportswear specialist JD Sports will more than double its footprint in the centre, moving from a 350 sq m store to a 770 sq m unit in the Upper Mall.

Leading jeweller Fraser Hart will also extend the size of its store significantly, upsizing to take additional space in two units adjacent to its existing store on the Upper Mall, more than doubling its presence in the centre from 130 sq m to 280 sq m. The Brent Cross store is one of only two in Fraser Hart’s national portfolio to offer the premium IWC timepiece range, and is also home to prestigious names such as Rolex, Cartier, Hublot and Breitling.

In addition, leading fashion brand All Saints is currently fitting out its new store on the Upper Mall, where it will trade alongside complementary fashion-led brands including Anthropologie and Reiss.
