JLL foodservice division branches out as independent consultancy

The lead directors of the UK foodservice consultancy arm of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) have taken over its management and operation under a mutual agreement that has seen it launched as a new independent enterprise.

Adam Griffin, Paulina Herrmann, Ian Hanlon, Richard Moulds and Ken Higman will continue to provide strategic foodservice advice as the newly-formed Coverpoint Foodservice Consulting. They will work with global landlords, investors, developers and operators, delivering strategic foodservice advice and solutions across all types of real estate assets.

The team has been leading the foodservice consultancy division of JLL since November 2014, when the commercial real estate organisation purchased Coverpoint Catering Consultancy, where they were employed at the time.

A joint statement from the Director Team of the newly formed business said: “After six years working with some great people at JLL, we’re excited to take Coverpoint independent again and go back to its entrepreneurial roots. We will still provide the same excellent level of service and commitment to our global client base, but being independent will allow us to be a bit more flexible in who we work with and the type of projects we undertake.”

The team has over 75 combined years of foodservice consultancy experience and 40 years’ operational experience. Between them, they have worked across 50 international markets on more than 1,000 projects that cover the full spectrum of food and beverage (F&B), from shopping centres, urban regenerations and iconic hotels to world class stadiums, historic venues and blue chip office buildings.

The Coverpoint team continued “With our wealth of experience, we know that no two developments are the same. As a new independent foodservice consultancy, we will be offering a bespoke service that takes into account the specific requirements and aspirations for each and every project.”
