IPH Centermanagement taps Marcus Eggers as new Managing Director

IPH Centermanagement, a joint venture of IPH Handelsimmobilien and IC Immobilien Gruppe and Germany’s biggest independent center manager, has appointed Marcus Eggers new Managing Director.

Starting October 1st 2020, he will be responsible for the management of 20 shopping centers. Alongside the appointment, the company also reaffirmed its explicit growth strategy. Besides winning new center management, the focus will be on continuously expanding IPH’s market position via its broad range of services offered.

“Marcus Eggers embodies precisely those attributes we as a company stand for. We are delighted to expand on IPH’s position as Germany’s biggest independent center manager and our broad range of services by means of his comprehensive track record and proven management skills,“ says Lars Jähnichen, Managing Director of IPH Handelsimmobilien.

Marcus Eggers holds degrees in business administration and psychology and worked for industry leader ECE for the past 20 years in various positions prior to joining IPH. Most recently he was ECE’s Regional Director Nord in charge of 17 shopping centers in Northern Germany’s Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Niedersachsen und Bremen states. Prior to this, he was assigned to Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey as Regional Director for South-Eastern Europe, where he gained international experience overseeing 16 shopping centers.

“IPH with its unique network of retail and real estate experts and its convincing growth ambitions appealed to me right away. As part of our interdisciplinary team, I look forward to finding creative, sustainable and comprehensive solutions to the challenges faced by our investors and tenants alike. Be it competition from e-commerce or the effects of covid-19, it takes a modern management and tailored concepts for every property – today more than ever. IPH’s ability to take quick and unbureaucratic decisions will be very helpful in achieving this,“ comments Marcus Eggers, Managing Director IPH Centermanagement.
