Hollister to open store at Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin, Ireland

Multi Corporation, which manages Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin, announced the signing of American clothing brand Hollister at the shopping centre. Hollister has agreed a 10-year lease for a 582-sq m unit scheduled to open in August next year.

Hollister will join JD Sports who signed up last year for a new 1,100-sq.m (11,800 sq.ft) flagship store in the new two-level extension to the Central Mall. Construction is underway and is scheduled for completion late next year.

Pat Nash, Managing Director Multi Ireland & UK, says: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Hollister. This underlines the growth of our offering and our ability to provide the broadest retailing choice in both our retail parks and our covered malls.”

In addition to this, Fingal County Council has granted permission for the development of an additional 3,200-sq.m (35,000-sq.ft) extension at Blanchardstown’s Blue Mall entrance. The extension will be located close to the Odeon Cineplex and several of Blanchardstown’s existing eateries, including Nando’s, Milano and Eddie Rockets and will provide space for a number of new restaurants ranging in size from 142 sq.m to 861 sq.m (1,528 sq.ft to 9,267 sq.ft). The extension will also incorporate a new feature entrance for the centre.

“There is already strong interest from a number of established operators who wish to locate in Blanchardstown Centre. Blanchardstown already boasts the most talked about opening in Ireland in 2018 when Krispy Kreme opened their first ever outlet in Ireland. It has proved a phenomenal success for both the centre and Krispy Kreme, as it has turned out to be the highest grossing restaurant opening of all 1,300 outlets in the entire Krispy Kreme portfolio worldwide,” adds Nash.

Blanchardstown Centre

Blanchardstown Centre is a 112,000-sq.m retail complex with more than 180 stores, including Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and Penneys, together with numerous restaurants and leisure facilities, plus a nine-screen cinema. Located in north-western Dublin and linked to Ireland’s major motorways, Blanchardstown Centre is one of Ireland’s most accessible retail destinations with free parking.
