Grozny Mall wins “Best Shopping Centre” Award at 2020 Arendator Awards in Moscow

Grozny Mall in Chechnya, southern Russia has been named “Best Shopping Centre” at the 2020 Arendator Awards in Moscow.

Arendator.ru is a major Russian commercial property news website, with the awards ceremony, which took place at Moscow’s Modus Restaurant on Thursday, October 1, 2020, honouring the best projects in the commercial property sector.

Designed by Chapman Taylor, Grozny Mall will be the largest shopping mall in southern Russia, bringing together national and international retail brands within a 132,000 sq m development.

A hypermarket, a food court and restaurants will complement the retail offering, while leisure facilities will include an IMAX cinema and a children’s entertainment area. Underground parking will provide space for 800 cars.

It is anticipated that Grozny Mall will create 2,000 new jobs upon completion. The associated Kausar Park covers 20 hectares and includes a riverside, an amphitheatre, pavilions, a Ferris wheel and children’s entertainment.
