First charging e-station opened in a Czech STOP SHOP retail park

A new network of charging stations for electric vehicles, called e-stations, inaugurated its first facility in the Czech Republic in December 2020. It is located in the STOP SHOP retail park in Hranice na Moravě, which is operated by IMMOFINANZ. It will offer its customers a convenient, fast and cheap way to recharge their electric car.

This milestone represents both a significant expansion of the STOP SHOP retail park services and a turning point in the expansion of electromobility to smaller towns. By the end of 2021, at least eight other charging points in STOP SHOP locations in the Czech Republic shall be operating.

The interest in electric cars or hybrid vehicles is growing significantly in many markets, but the construction of the necessary infrastructure is only slowly beginning, especially in towns with a smaller population.

“The STOP SHOP retail parks are well-accessible and provide large parking lots. It is this competitive advantage that we decided to further develop, as well as expand its existing services with fast charging electric stations. Which depending on the type of car, will ensure recharging for driving 100 km in just 20-30 minutes. Customers will not only be able to shop cheaply, but they will also effectively use the time spent in the STOP SHOP and return to their charged electric car.” says Filip Poltoratský, IMMOFINANZ Country Manager Operations for the Czech Republic.

IMMOFINANZ is a leading operator of retail parks in Central and Eastern Europe and manages a total of 98 STOP SHOP retail parks in nine countries. Next year, further charging e-stations will be gradually installed in the STOP SHOP retail parksThis innovative service this is the next step of IMMOFINANZ towards modern and ecological shopping.
