Evolve Estates seals deal on another popular convenience parade acquisition

Evolve Estates has acquired another shopping parade, signing a deal for a popular retail centre in the heart of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

The business, part of the LCP Group of companies, acquired Waterborne Walk for an undisclosed sum.

The retail centre comprises 20 retail units over 77,750 sq ft and is anchored by a 25,371 sq ft Waitrose. The supermarket is complemented by a range of convenience, value and essential shops, including Caffè Nero, Card Factory, Holland & Barrett and Argos, which is located outside of the mall in West Street.

Danny O’Keefe, director at Evolve Estates, said: “Our focus on local convenience parades is yielding some excellent acquisitions, such as Waterborne Walk, which is set in a busy part of Leighton Buzzard.”

LCP, the national commercial property and investments company, has been appointed to manage the centre.

Ed Tuckett, associate director at LCP, said: “We are known for our proactive asset management and are already looking at how we can add value to the scheme and look forward to putting the ideas into place over the next few months.”
