Altera Vastgoed adds 50th supermarket to her retail fund

Real estate investor Altera Vastgoed NV has acquired an Albert Heijn supermarket and adjacent Gall & Gall in Goes from Blauwdruk Investeringen B.V. This purchase brings the total number of supermarkets in Altera’s retail portfolio to 50.

The Albert Heijn and Gall & Gall are located at Kolveniershof 44 & 46 and are part of Goes’ core shopping area. The Albert Heijn has a floor area of 2,104 m² and the adjacent Gall & Gall is 139 m². The shops are located in the historic centre of Goes and are easily accessible on foot, as well as by car or bicycle. Opposite the supermarket, there is a multi-storey car park and a bicycle parking facility.

Thanks to its central location close to the A58 motorway, its friendly atmosphere and its large offering of shops, the picturesque town of Goes is a popular tourist destination in Zeeland. The Albert Heijn, which is clearly visible from the ring road,  is the only full-service supermarket in the town’s centre, holding a large share of the local comparison and daily shopping markets.

Sustainability Goals

With A and A+ energy labels, the property contributes to the sustainability goals of Altera’s retail portfolio. In the medium term, Altera wants at least 90% of the lettable floor area in this portfolio to have energy label A or higher.

Altera’s CEO, Jaap van der Bijl: “We are delighted to celebrate this great addition to Altera’s retail portfolio, and it’s nice to be able to celebrate this at Provada”, said Altera’s CEO, Jaap van der Bijl. “The property also contributes to the medium-term sustainability goal of our investment strategy. Even though the supermarket already has an A label, we still want to use the months ahead to investigate if we can work together with the tenant to make it even more sustainable.”Altera was advised during the sale by Blauw Vastgoed B.V. The seller, Blauwdruk Investeringen B.V., was advised by SuperVastgoed Makelaardij B.V.
