Ulrike Gehmacher is the new Head of Group ESG at Immofinanz

Ulrike Gehmacher has taken over the sustainability agendas of Immofinanz as the Head of Group ESG. In this role, she has been responsible for the group-wide coordination and implementation of the company’s sustainability strategy since the beginning of February 2022, leading a cross-functional ESG committee that implements a sustainable value chain in the company.

“We are delighted to have gained Ulrike Gehmacher, an expert with international experience in the field of sustainability, for our company. In her new role, she will be responsible for the strategic and practical implementation of our sustainability goals and will set far-reaching measures for a sustainable value chain,” says Dietmar Reindl, COO of Immofinanz.

Gehmacher started her career at the Coca-Cola Group and most recently headed the sustainability division in a FTSE 250 company, listed on the London Stock Exchange. Her main focus was on climate change and reducing corporate emissions in this industrial group.

Ulrike Gehmacher states: “Sustainability has now become an economic factor in the awareness of investors and society. Real estate plays a significant role in the fight against climate change and contributes to around 40% of global CO2 emissions. As a modern and sustainable company, Immofinanz is fully committed to this issue. Therefore, I am very excited about this new challenge and the joint work with the management team.”
