Pepco opens at six SES shopping locations all over Austria

Following the rapid market exit of shoe retailer CCC from Austria, space in SES shopping centers was quickly allocated to new partners. The Polish discount retailer acquires attractive retail space and will open six new Pepco stores this year.

On Thursday, October 21, a Pepco store will open at Fischapark Wiener Neustadt. In November, two stores will launch in Murpark and Citypark Graz. On November 18, another store will follow in Mariandl Krems. At the beginning of December, the company moves into Weberzeile Ried and Atrio Villach.

The Polish retailer offers a diverse range of products for the whole family on an area of around 600 sq m. From children’s, women’s and men’s fashion to home products and decoration, toys and stationery–the discounter’s extensive product portfolio comprises 40 product groups and stands for a lot of choices at low prices.

Founded in 1999, Pepco currently operates over 2,450 stores in 15 countries, with two new markets and approximately 300 new stores being opened each year. With its positioning, it appeals primarily to middle-income families, with the customer segment ranging from 28 to 45 years of age. They are committed to social projects for the benefit of children throughout Europe and finance these projects through the sale of recyclable carrier bags.

“We are consistently continuing our series of openings of attractive retail concepts in our shopping malls in the last quarter of this challenging year. With Pepco, we welcome one of the currently most attractive non-food discounters at six SES locations in Austria and thus offer an interesting newcomer to the domestic market, especially for families,” says Christoph Andexlinger, COO of SES Spar European Shopping Centers.

“We are very pleased to now have Austria on the list of those countries where Pepco is present. Austrian customers will now have the opportunity to visit our stores and enjoy a pleasant shopping experience with a wide range of products in good quality at the best price, “says Anca Radu, PEPCO Retail Director.
