Galerija Belgrade, the biggest shopping mall in the region, has opened its doors

Galerijа Belgrade, the biggest shopping, dining and entertainment destination in the region, opened its doors in the presence of Eagle Hills’ Chairman Mohamed Alabbar and the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.

As part of Belgrade Waterfront, Galerija Belgrade is an unprecedented attraction on the local market, both because of its location on the river bank, and because of the impressive size and unique facilities and contents it offers.

New shopping experience and a new experience of fun

In designing Galerijа Belgrade, all international standards of the industry were applied. With a total area of 300,000 sqm, the biggest green roof in the region and as many as 3,600 parking spaces, Galerija pushes the standards and offers a completely new shopping experience and a new experience of fun, which will be further enriched over time.

All visitors will have the most famous international and local brands at one place, they will be able to enjoy dozens of cafes and restaurants with the most beautiful view of the river and have unforgettable fun. The unique experience of visiting Galerija Belgrade is provided by premium editions of all brands, as much as a fifth of the area dedicated to F&B, as well as entertainment for all generations. In addition to the biggest trampoline park in this part of Europe, there is also Cineplexx Galerija Belgrade – a multiplex cinema with nine halls and more than 1,700 seats, which presents the world’s best IMAX® technology for movie projection to the Serbian market.

Currently, Galerija Belgrade is the only place in Serbia where foreign visitors can get a VAT refund immediately after purchase, at three points within the mall. This service is provided through the cooperation with Global Blue, the world leader in Tax Free shopping.

Another innovation contributes to this unique shopping experience – it is „Moj Beograd“ Loyalty Program, the members of which become all those who download the app Galerija Belgrade. By scanning the receipts obtained when shopping in this mall, members collect points that can be used for future purchases. The first ones to have the opportunity to shop like this are the winners of the prize game „Shop Like a Millionaire“.

Design inspired by the streets of Belgrade

Architecture inspired by the spirit and streets of Belgrade brings the stone and glass exterior and interior floors and facades made of natural materials, thanks to which a walk through Galerija looks like no other visit to any other shopping mall. The green roof for relaxation and the spacious terraces of restaurants and cafes ideally fit into the right bank of the Sava and create a new favorite gathering place. That Belgrade was given a world-class building is further proven by the fact that the design of Galerija Belgrade was entrusted to the architectural studio CRTKL from Los Angeles, a studio which also designed Fashion Show, the biggest shopping mall in Las Vegas.

With the opening of Galerija Belgrade, our capital got the destination it deserves as a real metropolis, and all residents of Serbia, people from the region and tourists from all over the world have gotten a place that meets their needs and an unforgettable experience that they will surely want to repeat.
