Outlet Village Bealaya Dacha shows +5% footfall and +1% sales

Hines, the international real estate firm, has summed up the performance results of the Outlet Village Belaya Dacha for the three quarters of 2020. According to the numbers, Moscow’s outlet village welcomed +5% more visitors compared to the same period in 2019.

Hines announces the results of the first half of the year for Outlet Village Belaya Dacha. Throughout January-March and June-September 2020, the outlet welcomed over 2,200,000 guests, which is + 5% more compared to the same period last year. Like-to-like sales for the three quarters of the year considering non-working months have increased by +1%. Taking into account current situation, shopping in the open air concept attracts customers as they deem it a safer alternative.

Outlet village format stability and potential also attracts retailers. In Q1-Q3 of 2020, 13 new brands joined the portfolio of tenants. Bosco Fresh, Lindt, HUGO, 12 STOREEZ, Bikkembergs, Banana Republic, Kenguru and other stores have appeared on the Outlet Village Belaya Dacha map. In addition, the Food Hall gastronomic space has expanded, and three new operators – Gyros, Poke Bowl and “Zdraste! Nam po paste!” opened there.

“With the recent opening of our new project, The Outlet Moscow, Hines Russia has now over 80.000 square meters of outlet stores GLA under its direct management. We serve to more than 230 brands in three different shopping destinations, covering both sides of Moscow – East and West – and the city of Saint-Petersburg.”, commented Antoni Gascon, Retail Director at Hines Russia.

Seasonal activities

The warm season at the outlet village is an active period of events for visitors. During these months Outlet Village Belaya Dacha hosted a themed weekend series dedicated to the UK, Japan and Greece. Along with that, educational master classes were organized for young visitors before the start of the academic year. In September stylist and TV-host Alexander Rogov held a fashion workshop for visitors.

Safe shopping

The administration of Outlet Village Belaya Dacha takes safety measures for visitors and employees of the outlet seriously. Store staff continue to wear personal protective equipment, antiseptics are located at boutiques and public areas, and visitors are reminded to wear masks. Also, the number of visitors who can be in a store at the same time is temporarily limited according with the size of spaces.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has forced landlords and tenants to think out of the box. We have adapted our Outlet Villages to the new reality making the shopping experience safe for our guests at the same time as keeping it more enjoyable than ever. We are extremely proud and thankful of how our tenants are dealing and overcoming this situation”, summed up Antoni Gascon.
