Ed Cooke joins Toolbox Group to lead their global expansion plans

Toolbox Group founder and CEO Michelle Buxton has announced Ed Cooke, former Revo CEO, as their new Global Growth Director.

Cooke, who takes up the newly created role with the company on 5 May 2020, has been brought in specifically to lead the continued strategic expansion of the award-winning technology and marketing innovation company. Cooke’s appointment also includes a seat on the Toolbox Group Board and shows the Group’s commitment to innovation, diversification and growth, even during this time of market volatility.

Cooke, who has been with Revo for 11 years, four of which were as CEO, announced his departure from the retail property and placemaking champion in August 2019.

Michelle Buxton commented, “We are delighted Ed will be joining us to drive forward our expansion plans. We have the market-leading platform in Mallcomm and significant experience in placemaking with our marketing services proposition which ensures we will continue to grow, service and reach new markets globally. Ed brings to Toolbox Group and the Global Growth Director role a razor-sharp focus and insight into the real estate industry. He is a change agent. During his time with Revo and previous key industry positions, he has spearheaded positive developments to the retail and property community which are not only forward-thinking but will continue to have a beneficial impact for years to come.

As global PropTech leaders in the mixed-use real estate and integrator technology sector, Mallcomm saw significant territory expansion last year which will continue into 2020 and beyond with the focus heavily on the Americas, CEE and Asia”.

Ed Cooke commented “As societies continue to evolve and digitise, companies are increasingly looking at solutions like Mallcomm to support this evolution, and in doing so lead to a far better understanding of how buildings and places are being used by occupiers, customers and wider communities. Mallcomm is a true Proptech pioneer and the opportunity to reach and develop new markets for the Mallcomm technology opens up an exciting new career chapter for me in what is a significant growth sector within the built environment”.
