Dekoria opens a store in Domoteka in 2020

Dekoria will occupy 856 sq m of retail space in Domoteka, a premium homeware retail complex in Warsaw.

The tenant will open its store there in the first quarter of 2020. Pradera European Retail Parks, the owner of the retail complex, was represented in the transaction by global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield.

Dekoria is a Polish homeware retailer operating on the market for more than 14 years. It has a single brick-and-mortar store in Poland, with most retail sales generated by e-stores, including dekoria.pl, the largest on the Polish market, and 12 overseas online platforms. The company specializes in sewing made-to-measure textile decorations for online orders. It carries more than 50,000 homeware products, including curtains, net curtains, blinds, other textile decorations, furniture, lamps, carpets and accessories such as pictures, clocks and mirrors. Its store, fitted in line with the latest trends, will also feature touch screens with access to information about the entire assortment of products, and interactive kiosks enabling individual product configuration.

“We have been thinking of opening a store in Warsaw for a long time as it is our largest retail market. We are very pleased that customers in the Polish capital will be finally able to see Dekoria products ‘live’ and get professional interior design advice. We also want our store to become a meeting place for architects and designers we work with. Our objective is to create a friendly place where customers will be able to plan fast and impressive changes to their homes thanks to stylish designs and professional guidance,” says Agnieszka Rybka, Sales Director, Dekoria.

“Domoteka is a true mecca for customers looking for the latest interior design trends and the most popular design centre in Warsaw. The news about Dekoria joining Domoteka’s tenants will certainly please homeware lovers. The store will be equipped with cutting-edge technologies making the choice of home accessories easier. This transaction is evidence that in addition to brick-and-mortar brands pursing omnichannel strategies including online and mobile channels, there’s a growing number of e-retailers interested in building additional sales channels to enable a direct customer experience with a brand, including opening physical stores. This increases customer brand engagement,” says Ada Budynek, Senior Negotiator, Retail Agency, Cushman & Wakefield.

“We continue looking for new tenants – producers and retailers offering well-designed furniture and homeware to make Domoteka an even more attractive place for customers. We want every visitor to find here exactly what they need. The presence of Dekoria in Domoteka will undoubtedly please interior design lovers, both individual customers and architects, designers, stylists and decorators. Dekoria is a well-known, valued and loved brand with a vast array of products,” says Agata Brzezińska, Head of CEE Pradera.
