MEC leases 32,000 sq m in first half-year and strengthens leasing team

In the first half of 2019, MEC concluded new and follow-up leases with a total area of 32,000 sq m. These include well-known retailers such as Decathlon, Adler, Deichmann, Arko, Reno, Takko, TK Maxx, Hunkemöller, Das Futterhaus, Dänisches Bettenlager, FitX and Ernsting´s family.

“We are delighted with the successful first half of the year and the increase in leasing performance by more than 4,000 m² compared with the same period last year,” says Christian Thiele, Head of Leasing Management at MEC.

Marco Bachmann new leasing manager

Since May 1, 2019, Marco Bachmann has strengthened the leasing team, which now comprises a total of 12 employees. The new MEC Leasing Manager is responsible for the rental business in the centers T.E.C. Erfurt, Weißeritz Park Freital, Spitzkrug Multi Center (Frankfurt/Oder), Plauen Park (Plauen-Kauschwitz) and Burgaupark Jena. Marco Bachmann has been active in leasing for 13 years and has spent the last four and a half years with Maßmann & Co. Retail Real Estate in Hamburg.
