Neinver appoints Center Manager for Amsterdam The Style Outlets

The company has appointed Marcel Herben as Center Manager for Neinver and Nuveen Real Estate’s first outlet center in the Netherlands, set to open in autumn 2020.

Herben joins the team bringing over 15 years of retail experience retail industry, including management positions in companies such as Rituals Cosmetics, where he was Head of Retail in the Netherlands, and Swarovski, where he was responsible for retail expansion in the Benelux countries. Most recently, he occupied the role of Chief Sales Officer at Dutch fashion company Vidrea Retail. Herben has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hogeschool Inholland and completed an Advanced Leadership Program in the Swarovski Academy. In his new role at Amsterdam The Style Outlets, he will be responsible for managing and coordinating the outlet centre from the pre-opening preparations right through launch and into operational mode.

“I’m thrilled to be part of this project and to join in this development phase and work towards the success of the first outlet center in the Greater Amsterdam Area. This is a unique scheme for Amsterdam, set to benefit from a large catchment area as well as benefitting from the millions of tourists that visit the Amsterdam Region every year”, said Herben.

Amsterdam The Style Outlets, developed by Neinver and Nuveen Real Estate, is set to become the first outlet development in the Randstad, one of the wealthiest and most densely populated regions in Europe. Located 8 minutes away by train from Amsterdam’s city center, and 10 minutes from Schiphol airport, the scheme will feature 19,000 sq m of GLA and 115 stores representing both international and Dutch renowned premium brands.
